Mutual sanctions of Russia and the West against each other worsen the situation in the global economy, the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said at a meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions.
"Today, mutual economic sanctions of the West and Russia certainly exacerbate the difficult situation in the global economy. Kazakhstan, as a member of the international community, is not an exception," TASS cited the President.
In addition, Nazarbayev stressed that the most effective way to ensure safety in the world is close economic cooperation between states. Lack of trust in international relations "not only weakens the ability of countries to confront today's challenges, but also creates the real threat of global military conflict," he warned.
