Georgia’s Saakashvili calls accusations unjustified

 

Georgian ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili (2004-2013), recently appointed as an advisor of the Ukrainian president, has called Georgian prosecutors’ accusations unjustified. Saakashvili noted that his government had not been stealing or involved in graft, Interfax reports.Georgian prosecutors put Saakashvili on the wanted list. The Georgian Chief Prosecutor’s Office has urged Ukraine to cooperate and extradite individuals on the wanted list today, including Saakashvili and Georgian ex-Minister for Finances Zurab Adeishvili. Kiev refused to extradite them.
