Canada announces new anti-Russia sanctions

Canada announced new sanctions against Russia in relation to the situation in Ukraine. The list includes names of 37 individuals and 17 entities from Russia and Ukraine. 

"In coordination with our EU and U.S. partners, Canada is once again intensifying its response to the situation in southeastern Ukraine by announcing further sanctions against Russian and Ukrainian individuals and entities," Tass cited Harper as saying. 

In the Russian part of the list there are two legal companies - Rosneft and the social movement 'Novorossia', as well as 11 people - Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov, the head of 'Rostec' Sergey Chemezov, deputy head of the Russian Armed Forces' general staff Andrei Kartapolov, journalist Dmitry Kiselev, famous singer Iosif Kobzon, deputy commander of the Black Sea Fleet of Russia Valery Kulikov, Rear Admiral in the Russian Navy Aleksey Naumets, Major-General in the Russian Army Alexander Nosatov, Rear Admiral in the Russian Navy Valery Rashkin, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Igor Turchenyuk, Lieutenant General in the Russian Army Alexander Zaldostanov, Leader of the Night Wolves Motorcycle Club Individuals.

In the Ukrainian part of the list there are 25 representatives of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics and 15 social movements and militia battalions - the Defence Minister of LPR Vladyslav Deynego, the deputy commander of the Ministry of Defense of the DNR Eduard Basurin, the Minister of Health of the LPR Larisa Airapetyan, Minister of Education of the LPR Lesya Lapteva, the Director of the Luhansk Central Electoral Commission Sergey Koziakov, the Minister of Education of the DPR Igor Kostenok, the Commander of the 'Sparta Battalion' Arseny Pavlov, aka 'Motorola', the Commander of the 'Somali Battalion' Mikhail Tolstoy aka 'Givi' and other representatives of the authorities of the Republic.
