Artashes Tumanyan was appointed Armenian Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Iran on Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s decree.
Previously this post was held by Grigor Arakelyan.
Tumanyan was a member of parliament and deputy foreign minister in different years. He served as the head of the administration of the second president Robert Kocharyan in 2000-2006, Trend reports.
