Ukraine’s self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic has switched to using Russian gas supplies starting today, the republic’s parliamentary speaker, Andrey Purgin, said.
"From now on, the republic will use Russian gas," he said, adding that gas flows were redirected to other pipelines on Wednesday night, TASS cited him as saying, with reference to republic’s press center.
"Yesterday, the gas was turned off. They claimed it was a technical breakdown and promised to fix everything," the leader of the LPR Igor Plotnitsky said, adding that a valve was shut off and a transformer was damaged by gunfire. He warned Kiev against such actions, noting that the republic could come up with "an appropriate response."
