President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the credentials of newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the US Robert Cekuta today.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the fact that the relations between the two countries cover various areas. The parties noted that there are good opportunities for expanding these ties in the fields of regional cooperation, security, combating terrorism, energy, transport and others.
Cekuta expressed hope for further successful development of bilateral relations during his activities as the head of the US diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan. The parties also discussed prospects for Azerbaijani-US relations, Interfax-Azerbaijan reports.
