Constantine Kosachev, the head of Russia’s Federation Council Committee for International Affairs, said at a meeting with EU Permanent Representative to Russia Vygaudas Usackas that the Council was ready to revive the dialogue with the European Parliament, Gazeta.ru reports.Kosachev noted that he had met with Chairman of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs Elmar Brok a few days ago and reached an agreement to resume cooperation. The Russian official added that confrontation between the two countries was disadvantageous for both sides.
