The Imereti region has been left without a governor - Zaza Meparishvili left the post today without explaining the reasons for his resignation.
According to "InterpressNews", Meparishvili confirmed that he had long wanted to retire and asked Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili about it. The request was granted only today.
Meparishvili remains unemployed, as he has received no other proposals so far.
