Another humanitarian convoy departs for Donbass

Another convoy of the Russian Emergencies Ministry carrying humanitarian aid for Donbass citizens has departed for Ukraine, the ministry’s press service said today.

The trucks left the Noginsk rescue center outside Moscow on Tuesday morning and are heading to southern Russia’s Rostov Region to be joined laterby vehicles from other Russian regions. The cargo largely consists of foodstuffs, medicines, essentials and building materials. The convoy, which is due to be formed in the coming days, will then head to Donetsk and Luhansk in compliance with all the international rules.

"From Donetsk and Luhansk, the humanitarian cargos will be distributed to the most affected settlements that lack food, primary necessity items and have poor living conditions," TASS cited the ministry.

"The delivery of cargo will help stabilize the situation and prevent a humanitarian catastrophe," the ministry stressed.
