President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev today received Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, the official website of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic reports.
The president expressed confidence that the visit of the delegation would provide fresh impetus to the further expansion of Azerbaijan-Turkey relations and stressed the importance of the discussions held during his visit on the future plans on joint activities, 1news.az reports.
He said that the unity between the two countries was guarantee of stability in the region, stressing that Turkish-Azerbaijani ties were very important for the two countries' peoples and region, as well as for the world.
At the meeting the parties exchanged their opinions on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, the Trans-Anatolian pipeline (TANAP) and expansion of military and technical cooperation.
