Iran's permanent UN mission has dismissed as "baseless" and "fake" a recent claim about Iran's secret research to develop nuclear weapons, Fars News Agency reports.
Information received from an unknown member of the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization, that underground labs in suburban Tehran are used to develop nuclear weapons, appeared in the US daily the Washington Post.
However, Fars News Agency emphasizes that the data provided by the member of the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization could not be independently verified.
But in mid-February a detailed report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) was published, the organization has conducted a series of tests, showing the open and peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program.
