Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a meeting with the delegation of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation that Moscow expects to work out ways to overcome the deadlock in the Middle East settlement.
According to him, Russia is trying to actively promote the settlement process in bilateral contacts as well as as a member of the 'Quartet' of international mediators, and in relations with the Arab League and the OIC.
"We started the discussion last night, today we expect to continue to develop ways to normalize the situation in Jerusalem immediately," the Russian minister said.
