US economic sanctions against Russia are an attempt to justify its guilt for the events in Ukraine, the State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin said.
According to him, "the so-called economic sanctions taken by the United States and a number of their satellite countries," are introduced "to justify its guilt for the events in Ukraine".
"The US's culpability for these events is significant and obvious to the whole world," TASS cited Naryshkin.
The speaker called the anti-Russian sanctions "economic blackmail, which has nothing to do with the law."
