US Congressman urges colleagues to recognize genocide in Khojaly

A US Congressman from New Jersey, Donald Payne, had issued a statement in connection with the 23rd anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy.

 

In it, he reminded his colleagues that on the night of 25 to 26 February 1992 613 people were killed in the Azerbaijani town of Khojaly, and urged them to recognize the monstrous genocide committed in Khojaly.

 

In addition, the politician said that Azerbaijan is an important US ally in the strategically important region, Trend reports.
