Azerbaijani parliament approves new election committe members

The Azerbaijani parliament has approved three new members of the
Central Electoral Committee (CEC), Trend reports.


The three candidates are Mikail Ragimov (People's Front of Azerbaijani
Unity party), Gulyagi Aslanly (independent), Arif Mukhtarov
(independent).


Deputy Panakh Guseyni expressed his discontent with the refusal to
have members of the opposition in the in CEC.


Azerbaijan will hold parliamentary elections on November 7, 2010.
The previous elections were held in November 2005. The elections are
based on majority system, with 125 electoral districts involved.
