A shoe has been thrown at the Prime Minister of China, Wen Jiaboa, in
the Turkish capital of Ankara, ANS reports, citing Turkish media. The
incident took place as the premier was confronted by a crowd
protesting against treatment of the Uyghur minority group in China.
