German Chancellor Angela Merkel said at a press conference after a meeting with President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker that the EU would impose new sanctions on Russia if it violated the Minsk Agreements, TASS reports.Merkel noted that it was best to focus on formation of a constructive approach to end the bloodshed in Ukraine and achieve a stable truce.
