Presidential envoy visits the Caucasian Games

The Presidential Envoy to the North Caucasian Federal District, Vice-Premier Alexander Khloponin, has made a visit to the Caucasian Games. After the opening ceremony Mr. Khloponin and the President of Karachay-Cherkessia, Boris Yebzeyev, visited installations devoted to different regions of the Caucasus and met with young activists. Questions of government youth policy and the problem of cultural cooperation between different nations were among the issues discussed during the meeting.
 
According to the organizers, the main aim of the festival is to improve cultural cooperation between people of different ethnic origins and religious views, in order to secure peace in the Caucasus.
