The US Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Robert Cekuta, has visited the Gobustan historical site, according to a message posted on the official Facebook page of the embassy.
It is the diplomat’s first visit to an Azerbaijani region.
The Gobustan historical site is also an archaeological reserve. The Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape was included on the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites in 2007, Trend reports.
