German Chancellor Angela Merkel has declined to visit the celebrations in Moscow on May 9 to mark the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
According to Merkel, now there is no opportunity for her presence at the parade on Red Square, TASS reports.
Official confirmation of this information has not yet been announced.
As Vestnik Kavkaza reported, German President Joachim Gauck also won't arrive in Moscow to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Victory.
