1,500 Syrian Kurdish refugees return to Kobani

Around 1,500 Syrian Kurdish refugees returned from Turkey to the Syrian city of Kobani after Kurdish peshmerga units managed to regain the town from Islamic State.


A registration system for the refugees was created by the Disaster and Emergency Management Agency of Turkey (AFAD). The refugees are allowed to cross back into northern Syria at least three days every week.
