Respect for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan is the underlying principle of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Uruguayan Foreign Minister Rodolfo Nin Novoa said during his meeting with an Azerbaijani delegation on a visit to Uruguay.
According to the minister, the conflict must be resolved in compliance with international law.
He stressed that one country’s invasion of another’s territory is inadmissible.
Novoa noted that Azerbaijan is a friendly state for Uruguay, stressing the coincidence of the positions of the two countries on many international issues, as well as effective cooperation.
The Azerbaijani delegation, which includes Javanshir Feyziyev, Mukhtar Babayev, Mollazade, Fuad Muradov and Aslan Jafarov, thanked Novoa, stressing that the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict will contribute to long-term peace in the region, Interfax-Azerbaijan reports.
