Nogaideli to renew talks with United Russia

Zurab Nogaideli, Georgian ex-Premier, leader of ‘For Just Georgia’ party, visited Moscow on Sunday. He planned to renew talks with United Russia party, RIA Novosti reports, citing the press-service of Nogaideli’s party.


In early July, Nogaideli said that they halted talks with United Russia on specific issues and gave way to Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili to improve relations with Moscow. The decisions was due to Saakashvili’s declaration to hold full-fledged talks on normalizing relations.


Nogaideli’s 9th official visit to Moscow will start on Monday. He plans to meet the Georgian, Abkhaz and Ossetian communities and officials of United Russia. Nogaideli will stay in Moscow for a week.
Nogaideli will discuss the restoration of regular flights between Russia and Georgia, renewal of Georgian export to the Russian market and return of refugees to the Kodori Gorge (Abkhazia) and Akhalgor region (South Ossetia).
