NATO is concerned about the sudden exercises of Russian Federation Troops.

NATO General Secretary Jens Stoltenberg said that the alliance is seriously concerned about the recent sudden military drills of Russian troops.

According to him, the reunification of Crimea with Russia "was carried out under the cover of sudden maneuvers". "NATO has not held extraordinary exercises since the end of the Cold War," TASS quoted Stoltenberg.

He said that in light of the increasing number of early exercises by Russian troops, as well as the growth of their military presence near the borders of NATO, the alliance would like them to "be more transparent and more predictable."
