US Secretary of State John Kerry and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif yesterday resumed talks on Tehran's nuclear program in Lausanne.
An attempt to promote the negotiating process forward will be made on March 16 in Brussels at a meeting of the foreign ministers of Iran, France, Germany and the UK, as well as the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. "The meeting will consider the prospects for further progress towards a comprehensive solution to the nuclear issue in the negotiations between Iran and the 5+1 international mediators," TASS cited a representative of the EU External Action Service.
The Deputy Director of the Department for Nonproliferation and Arms Control of the MFA of Russia, Alexey Karpov, said that talks between Iran and the 5+1 are expected to resume on March 16, probably in Switzerland.
