The EU intends to continue to adhere to its strategy of non-recognition of Crimea, "including maintaining restrictive measures in respect to the peninsula," a statement of the EU Council outlines.
"The EU calls on UN member states to introduce similar restrictive measures against Crimea," TASS cited the document.
"The EU reaffirms its deep concern at the continuous military build-up and deterioration of the human rights situation on the Crimean peninsula, including the denial of free speech and the persecution of persons belonging to minorities," the statement reads.
