In addition to Merkel, the celebration will be attended by the leaders of North Korea, China, Cuba, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Cyprus, India, South Africa, Vietnam, Mongolia and 16 other countries.
Earlier, it was reported that Angela Merkel, German President Joachim Gauck, Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves, Latvian President Andris Berzins, the President of Israel Reuven Rivlin and the head of the European Council Donald Tusk refused to visit Moscow on May 9.
