A meeting of the railway management of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Uzbekistan has been held in Tashkent, the press service of Azerbaijan Railways said.
During the meeting various options for railway development, increase of transit delivery volumes, development of cooperation within TRACECA, the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars project as well as cooperation in the development of other international transport corridors were discussed, 1news.az reports.
The railway management of Azerbaijan and Georgia noted that they support Uzbekistan in construction of the Angren-Pap electrified railway line.
The Angren-Pap railway line is part of the international transport corridor China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan. It will provide access for cargoes to the Black Sea through Azerbaijan and Georgia.
At the end of the meeting the sides signed a final protocol to ensure that all transportation problems are solved promptly.
