Georgian government buys bed for prime minister for thousand euros

 

The Georgian government has purchased a bed for Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, as stated by Head of the Administration Maya Tskitishvili today, News Georgia reports.The United National Movement said that about $82,800 had been spent on Garibashvili’s furniture. MP Irma Nadirashvili clarified that the administration made purchases from two Italian companies. The purchases, in her words, included a bed with a trampoline and an orthopedic mattress.Tskitishvili noted that the furniture had been purchased for high-ranking guests, not the prime minister. She added that the prices mentioned by Nadirashvili were untrue.Tskitishvili added that 24 chairs had been bought for 15,000 euros, the bed for Garibashvili was worth 950 euros and was needed because the prime minister would often have to stay up at the office until 4am.
