The question of an agreement on gas supplies to Turkey was raised during a recent telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, but the final decision will be made during the negotiations of the companies, the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, said.
"Agreements on commercial issues with Erdogan are usually not achieved during phone calls, we did not set such goal. But the subject of a gas agreement featured in yesterday's conversation," RIA Novosti cited him.
Peskov confirmed that commercial negotiations between Gazprom and Turkish partners are underway.
"We hope they will be able to come up with mutually acceptable solutions," Peskov said.
