Iran keeps 6,000 centrifuges for uranium enrichment

 

The Group of Six (U.S., France, UK, Russia, China, Germany) will let Iran keep 6,000 centrifuges for uranium enrichment, according to an agreement under discussion in Lausanne (Switzerland), TASS reports.Iran currently has about 10,000 centrifuges. Washington had initially insisted on reducing their number to 500-1,500. Should the Group of Six and Iran reach an agreement, the U.S. will immediately free Iran from sanctions.
