US State Department spokesman Jen Psaki said that the US is not trying to discourage other countries from taking part in the V-Day celebrations in Moscow.
A Cypriot journalist previously asked her why the US is criticizing Cyprus for contacts with Moscow more than some other countries, including Turkey. Psaki said that Washington tells all its friends and allies that this is not a time for business as usual with Russia. The reason for this is the conflict in Ukraine.
Psaki was unable to specify when Washington will decide on the level of its representation at the celebrations in Moscow.
