Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia will decide on the extension of its counter-sanctions proceeding from its national interests.
"We have already said the topic of sanctions is not a theme which is on our agenda. We prefer, after all, to deal with constructive issues on our agenda rather than such destructive topics as sanctions rhetoric," TASS cited the spokesman.
"We’re not discussing these issues.The Russian Federation will do what meets its national interests with regard to retaliatory steps," he added.
The European Union summit decided to to link the implementation of the Minsk agreements with sanctions against Russia.
