Obama demands release of four citizens detained in Iran

U.S. President Barack Obama has demanded that Iran release Saeed Abedini, Amir Hekmati, Jason Rezaian and their assistant Robert Levinson, RIA Novosti reports.


Saeed Abedini from the state of Idaho was detained over two years ago for his religious views, Amir Hekmati from Michigan for false accusations of espionage, Washington Post journalist Jason Rezaian from California has been detained for 8 months for uncertain reasons, Robert Levinson has been missing for 8 years, possible held by the Iranian intelligence services.


The U.S. president hopes that Iran will release the four Americans in the light of Nowruz.
