The number of casualties as a result of a double terrorist attack that took place in the Syrian city of Al-Hasaka today has risen to 45 people, according to a report by the Syrian Monitoring Centre for Human Rights.
Two suicide bombers detonated explosives at a festival during the celebration of the New Year according to the solar calendar (Nowruz) in the Al-Mufti district of the Kurdish town of El Hasaka in northeastern Syria. According to the Syrian Monitoring Centre for Human Rights, the bombers belonged to the terrorist organization Islamic State. Around twenty people are reported to have been killed in the terrorist attack, RIA Novosti reports.
