The Georgian government has completely lost the trust of its people and should leave. With these words Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili addressed protesters at an event organized in Tbilisi by the former ruling party 'United National Movement', demanding the resignation of the government.
"We will soon liberate Georgia from these dark forces and return the country to the path of light," Saakashvili said, after which the protesters proceeded to the building of the State Chancellery to symbolically hand over 'red cards' to the government.
Participants in the event organized by the United National Movement in Tbilisi are going to express their protest by peaceful means, one of the leaders of the former ruling party, the former Speaker of the Parliament David Bakradze, told reporters.
