Ankara Mayor Melih Gokcek has called for resignation of Turkish Vice Prime Minister Bulent Arinc for disagreeing with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the settlement of the Kurdish problem. Erdogan spoken out against the government’s idea to form a monitoring group to observe the Kurdish process. Arinc reminded that the government was in charge of the Kurdish settlement process, RIA Novosti reports.Gokcek accused Arinc of being a follower of theologian Abdullah Gul’s Hizmet Movement. The mayor claimed that Gulen, who currently lives in the U.S., was destabilizing Turkey and Arinc was involved in the plot.The Ankara mayor added that Arinc’s disagreement with the president did not reflect the government’s position and disappointed Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
