Yessentuki has held a telephone conference, supervised by the deputy presidential envoy to the North Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) Yuri Oleynikov. The conference was aimed at discussing the census in the NCFD, which starts on October 14.
The head of the statistics service of the Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Stukalov, announced some results of work carried out. NCFD will have 1,382 census stations and 5,560 instruction stations. 39,267 people will be involved in the census, they were trained for the work.
The statistics service is actively cooperating with the law-enforcement structures, over 18,000 policemen and servicemen will provide security. A strategy for hostile citizens was also developed, their apartments will be visited by census takers accompanied by police.
Fire security measures have been taken as well. The document storage will have advanced fire security equipment. Document transport will be under police supervision.
Yuri Oleynikov cited the position of the head of government commission for census Sergey Sobanyan, who demanded regional structures to provide credibility of census information. It is a topical issue for the NCFD. There are forces in the NCFD interested in having fake information. Preventing this is one of priority goals of the census campaign.
Oleynikov said that preparations for the census are a success in general. All the regions have been prepared.
