Today, Russian President Vladimir Putin in his address to the participants of the meeting of heads of member states of the Arab League stated that the most important condition for the solution of the problem of Palestine is realization of the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state with its åcapital in East Jerusalem.
"Russia will continue to contribute to this goal (independence of Palestine), acting in bilateral as well as in multilateral formats, including the 'quartet' of international mediators," RIA Novosti quotes the head of state as saying.
According to Putin, it is necessary to establish closer interaction between the "quartet" of mediators and the Arab League. In addition, he reiterated Moscow's readiness to build the entire complex partnership with LAS in the spirit of the decisions taken at the Moscow and Khartoum ministerial meetings of the Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum.
