The police in Turkey’s southern Sanliurfa province detained 10 people near the border with Syria. The detainees intended to join the Syrian wing of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
The guide who was supposed to help the mentioned people illegally cross the Turkish-Syrian border is also among the detainees. This guide appeared to be a driver working in the Suruc municipality of Sanliurfa province, Trend reports. An investigation is under way.
