Ingush leader offers jail visits to relatives of former militants

Ingush leader Yunus-Bek Yevkurov noted the stability in the republic. The number of terrorist and serious crimes has dropped. He said in Magas on Wednesday that the authorities are trying to start a dialogue with the relatives of jailed militants.


Yevkurov said that the authorities will make concessions for those that surrender voluntarily, Interfax reports.


He clarified that they will get minimal sentences for helping the  investigation and surrendering. Yevkurov said that he will give parents of such militants 50 000 rubles aid annually so that they could visit their child in jail.
