Al Qaeda occupies Yemeni province

 

Muhammad Abdel Saliam, a spokesman of the Shiite movement Ansar Allah, said that Al Qaeda took the Hadhramaut Province of Yemen under its control. Terrorists have occupied the administrative center of Al Mukalla, located 480km from Aden, TASS reports.Hundreds of convicts were released. An office of the Central Bank and the president’s palace have been pillaged. State offices and private companies were attacked, a local radio station was burned down. The governmental forces are fighting against Shiite extremists in the Shabwa Province. Part of the troops will be sent to Hadhramaut.
