This is the second program organized by the border guards of the FSB. The first was held from May 18 to June 1, 2009. 5,441 patients were observed in the Gal region, 110 surgeries were carried out. Various doctors made diagnostic studies, consultations, ITAR-TASS reports.
Besides medical help for the population there were also events for school teachers in the Gal region and Sukhumi.
Approximately 350 teachers took part in seminars. The leading specialists of the Education and Science Ministry of Russia had master-classes. Four schools of Gal region and the Tamysh boarding school in Ochamchir Region were offered humanitarian aid.
