What will the agreement in Lausanne give to the world?

The world community welcomes the agreements reached at the Lausanne negotiations between Iran and six world powers.

The Russian Foreign Ministry expressed confidence that this success will contribute to improving the situation in the Middle East. "There is no doubt that the agreements on Iran's nuclear program will have a positive impact on the overall security situation in the Middle East, including the fact that Tehran will be able to take a more active part in the resolution of a number of existing regional problems and conflicts," the statement said.

US President Barack Obama described the agreement reached in Lausanne as historic.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon congratulated the team of international negotiators and Iran on achieving a political framework that paves the way for an historic comprehensive joint plan of action on Iran’s nuclear program to be achieved by 30 June.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that the framework agreement with Iran is important step towards a final agreement on Iran's nuclear program. "We are closer than ever to an agreement that makes it impossible for Iran to possess nuclear weapons," RIA Novosti cited her.

Only Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is dissatisfied with any agreement. According to him, the final agreement based on the current framework "would threaten Israel's existence."
