Ismail Agakishiyev, a political analyst, the head of the RSUH Center for Caucasus Studies, said at the international conference 'Anniversary of the Great Victory: vivid memory' hosted by Baku yesterday that the Great Patriotic War was a serious threat to all the peoples of the USSR. In his opinion, they need to remember their deeds and learn lessons.
In the politologist's words, Hitler unleashed war against the USSR under the pretext of saving the Baltic states and Eastern Europe. Agakishiyev rules out Russian plans to attack the regions. He concluded that modern challenges can be overcome by trust between peoples.
