Saudi Arabia may listen to Russia and the pause in the bombing of Yemen

The Saudi authorities have agreed to consider Russia's call for the establishment of humanitarian pauses in the air strikes on Yemen, which could be used for the supply of humanitarian aid and evacuation. This was announced today by the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the United Nations, Abdullah al-Mole.

"We share the concern about the humanitarian situation. We need to discuss the mechanism with various parties," he says, according to TASS.

The proposal of the Russian Federation "should be discussed bilaterally and through the intermediary of the Secretary General," says Abdullah al-Mole.

This afternoon Russia proposed that the UN Security Council draft a resolution on the introduction of a mandatory humanitarian pause in the hostilities in Yemen.
