Japanese investigators in Istanbul to investigate murder of journalists

To investigate the circumstances of the kidnapping and executions of journalists Kenji Goto and Haruna Yukawa by militants in Syria in January this year, Japan has sent its investigators to Turkey.

Today several investigators from the Japanese police flew to Istanbul to achieve cooperation from the Turkish authorities in the investigation of the case of the forcible seizure and murder of two Japanese citizens.

Japanese police investigators intend to clarify the circumstances of the incident, particularly through the foreign citizens who were the guides of the journalists in Syria.
