EU to grant Palestinian refugees 2.5 million euros

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) will receive 2.5 million euros to assist Palestinian refugees at Camp Yarmouk in Syria, as stated European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Christos Stylianides, RIA Novosti reports.


The UN Security Council discussed the situation around Camp Yarmouk yesterday. Most of the camp is under ISIS control.


Dina Kawar, the permanent representative of Jordan to the UN, said that the UNSC condemned acts of the Daish and the Jabhat al-Nusra units against Palestinian refugees and urged the organization to take action.
