President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn.
During the meeting, the sides stressed the importance of the development of cooperative relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union in all spheres, including economic, energy, cultural, tourism and other fields.
The parties exchanged views over the issues related to human rights. It was noted that successful work is carried out in Azerbaijan in this sphere and freedom of assembly, media, thought, internet and other freedoms are ensured in the country. The sides noted that there are good opportunities for expanding cooperation in this field, Trend reports.
