A group of terrorists from the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) opened fire on a military convoy carrying construction equipment in the Silvan district of Diyarbakir, the General Staff's website said.
A total of 15 bullets hit an armored vehicle in the convoy, the soldiers in the convoy immediately responded to the attack.
Earlier, PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan urged fighters to lay down their weapons for peace talks with Ankara, APA reports.
